It is perhaps maybe not a scene from the Hollywood hit “Runaway Bride” but a normal Serbian wedding service — just with all the functions played by Chinese tourists.
Enticed by visa-free travel and low expenses contrasted to Western Europe, the Chinese were arriving at Serbia within their droves.
The landlocked Balkan state has become one of many fastest-growing locations in European countries for Chinese travellers, topping the maps a year ago, and has been rolling down of the red carpeting.
From Chinese restaurants, to street indications in Mandarin, infrastructure has quickly sprung up.
Chinese authorities had been even sent towards the roads of Belgrade in the summer time to help talk to their compatriots, a programme also piloted in other European towns and cities.
And in rural western Serbia, locals within the little, picturesque vacation town of Gostoljublje also have discovered ways to claim a piece of this cake.
Zeljko Sredic, whom has the resort of wood getaway houses, lays on a complete wedding that is serbian, without really getting hitched.
“We chose to do weddings since they include all the traditions: the tradition of food, song, party, costumes and the like,” he told AFP.
Against rolling hills and farmland, the marriage extravaganza was wooing the Chinese in particular because it started 2 yrs ago.

For a present Saturday, two busloads of tourists mostly from Shanghai had been welcomed with people music and drawn in to a traditional“kolo” that is circular by their Serbian hosts.
“They constantly want one thing uncommon, different things and this is one thing you cannot find in agencies which have typical trips to offer,” Katarina Jovancic, the group’s Serbian guide, stated on the sidelines associated with dance. (more…)
